I have to say, this summer has been AHHH-MAZINGGG!! I spent the last week of July in the Catskills Mountains attending a Feminist Photo Vacay. Yep! Sounds amazing? Yeah, it really was! Over the course of a week I met an incredible group of feminist folx, lounged poolside at an EPIC house in the mountains, drank way too much sparkling water and ended our time together capturing magic at Scribner’s Lodge. Scribner’s Lodge is stunning! I would honestly love to go back just to relax. The decor, aesthetic, staff and landscape was phenomenal.
This past winter I photographed Kristina and Josh’s intimate downtown wedding. They blocked off half of their timeline to spend with me, around Richmond making portraits. We went to one of my favorite spots in Richmond, the Canal Walk mural gallery then took portraits on our walk to Wong Gonzalez where their friends and family waited.
Something I love, ESPECIALLY during the winter months, are in-home sessions. I met Dorota and Dwight at their home in Richmond for their engagement session. As soon as I walked in and saw all of Dorota’s beautiful plants I knewwww that they would be sitting right in the plant corner for our session haha. I mean, it’s just so lovely!!!
Sessions for the soul are sessions dedicated to YOU. It is such an honor to be trusted to tell your story and capture photographs that are emotive, raw and represent you. I had such an amazing time photographing Casey today in their Richmond home. Knowing Casey personally, they’re my sibling, when I see these photos, I see their soul, the places they’ve gone and …I see growth.
