Over the weekend I got to do something that doesn't happen...like ever. I had my sibling, Casey, in front of my lens. I told them my idea and they were down to bring it to life. Unfortunately for me, by the time we got started it was 8:20pm. We were in blue hour with hardly any light left but it didn't stop us. I told them I wanted to capture them dancing, feeling and breathing in the music. They played SZA and the music instantly hit them. This was a personal session. Something simply to feed my artistic soul and it did. Even with the lack of light, the emotion in every move had me excited every time the shutter clicked. It felt like freedom.
